*ELLIS POWELL
(Carpenter, '07) TET –T-01-565- (26”-MRe-6”-Sev) – ONLY BELIEVE X J. T.
DAVIS – Having a positive attitude is certainly a good thing and it is
said that if we only believe all things are possible. I thought that
crossing ONLY BELIEVE with a heavily ruffled parent might give rise to
an improved new daylily. When ELLIS POWELL first bloomed as a seedling
I was ecstatic. Here it was – a new double edged flower of extravagant
ruffling and beauty. For its six years in testing it has never been a
disappointment- always consistently beautiful and a great performer.
While the flower does not even compare to the person for whom it is
named, we are so very pleased to have been allowed to use his name for
it. With 4 way branching and 23 buds per scape and repeating scapes the
garden is blessed with blooms of grace and charm for a long season.
Fertile both ways easily.
Value $175.00

|
*PERSIAN ART (Carpenter, '09) (29”-MRe-6”-Ev) – 02Le X WARRIOR VICTORIOUS – This cultivar has one of the most
pleasing color schemes going for it that I have seen in these colors. The base
color of these large flowers is magenta-purple. Bold lavender water-marks that
are delicately etched around with a deeper lavender color blend into a
chartreuse to very green throat. PERSIAN ART repeats the harmony in the
watermarks above with bold lavender edges on the petals that change into gold
edges around the tips of the petals and yellow edges on the sepals. PERSIAN
ART is fertile both ways.

TET PARTY PINAFORE – Here is a bi-color of great charm and beauty with
very interesting color patterns. The sepals contrast well with the
petals and are a very soft baby pink in color. The petals are a much
deeper rose pink bordered with a medium pink color. There is a deeper
halo mark in the throat that surrounds the bright green throats. The
4-way branched scapes are strong and have 35 buds. HAPPY CHARMER gives
a delightful color splash to the garden and certainly has distinction.

*HEAVENLY MANSIONS
(Carpenter, '07) TET – T-03-JACK - (23”-ERe-6.5”-Sev) – HOW BEAUTIFUL
HEAVEN MUST BE X LONNIE LEROY CARPENTER – Unfortunately, the pic was
not secured on this one until last blooms on two scapes at the end of
the bloom period. HEAVENLY MANSIONS is a gorgeous blend or colors of
deeper coral pink leading into a softer yellow-cream that ends with
deeper yellow and gold ruffles. The throat is accented by light
sculpting or corduroy which leads downward into a yellow gold to green
throat. This cultivar has been awaited for some time and received a
great deal of favorable comments in the garden this season. Branching
is 3-way with 17 buds and scapes repeat. Fertile both ways.

*HEAVEN’S MAJESTY
(Carpenter, '07) Tet. – T-01-HC-2 – (20”-ERE-6.5”-Sev) – HOW BEAUTIFUL
HEAVEN MUST BE X (CONCERT TOUR X DESERT JEWEL) – This is another one of
the lovely kids from HOW BEAUTIFUL HEAVEN MUST BE. It has the copious
ruffling characteristic of its mother but is a very soft cream yellow
color. It is so light in color that it will likely be a good one to use
for whites. Flowers are large and open well and flat and have abundant
diamond dusting over the petals giving a gorgeous effect. HEAVENS
MAJESTY seems to be a good name for this cultivar which has three way
branching with 25 buds per scape and repeats. Fertile both ways.
Value $175

*JUST AS I AM
T-01-45 (Carpenter, '07)– (28”-ERe-6.5”-Ev) – ESSENCE OF ROYALTY X
(MRS. JOHN COOPER X MOUNT HERMAN MARVEL) – Petals are so wide, fluted,
and ruffled on this purple that the sepals are often hidden from view.
JUST AS I AM will offer great genetics for those wishing to get the
full, wide, over-lapping form into their flowers. The flowers are
beautifully accented with darker purple eyes and edges and gilded with
gold on the outermost edge. The flowers have heavy substance and are
supported on 28” scapes with 6 way branching and as many as 45 buds.

 |
*KALEIDOSCOPIC INTRIGUE
(Carpenter, '09) Dip D-03-ES – (27”-MRe-6”-Ev) – SUPER FANCY FACE X
TEXAS KALEIDOSCOPE – What intrigue is brought on by all of the
intricacies and variations presented in these magnificent flowers. The
royal purple color of the flowers is magnificently accented by
water-mark/eyes that are bordered with very deep purple etchings that
extend into lines of purple that traverse downward into the lavender
water-mark/ eyes. KALEIDOSCOPIC INTRIGUE adds even more interest to the
design by having sepals which bear a continuation of the water-mark eye
in almost a white color giving the effect of a bi-colored
water-mark/eye. KALEIDOSCOPIC INTRIGUE has tall scapes with four-way
branching and twenty-three buds. The flowers are accented by beautiful
green throat, and the cultivar is fertile both ways. Value $200

(Carpenter, '06) Tet (T-20-610 x 01P 9T) – (22”-6”-MRe-EV) - For those
who have a taste for the royal colors, here is one not to miss. The
blue lavender color of LAVENDER EXALTATION was a breakthrough here in
our garden. These large 6” flowers standout with bold affirmation on
four-way branched scapes having up to 24 buds. This lavender is
powerful for passing on that lavender-blue color to its progeny. It is
very fertile as both pod and pollen parent. Value $115

*MAGENTA GLORY
(Carpenter, '08) TET - T-02-PG-2-JF - (24”-MRe-6.25”-Ev) – PALACE
GARDEN BEAUTY X JAY FARQUHAR - This flower might pass for purple, but I
think purple-magenta is perhaps the best way to describe the color.
MAGENTA GLORY has three way branching and 19 buds and repeating scapes
that have large 6.25” flowers. The purple-magenta flowers have a pastel
lavender watermark that surrounds a soft yellow- green into green
throat. Petals are edged in a soft yellow. Value $100

(Carpenter, '08) DIP - D-03-GPD - (28”-ERe-5.25”-Ev) –COSMIC DESIGN X
PEPPERMINT DELIGHT – The color contrast presented in this flashy eyed
flower is what makes it a favorite among garden visitors. As the
picture shows the contrast is beautiful between the intense yellow
color and the bold, bright fire engine red color. OH SAY BUT I’M GLAD
sings its own happy tune with 7-way branched scapes bearing 29 buds and
often having three flowers blooming on a scape at the same time.

(Carpenter, '06) TET – T-03-LAV - (30”-EMRe-6”-Sev) –PALACE GARDEN
BEAUTY X MOTHER OF MANY – This is an especially beautiful and
impressive flower which has not truly been adequately presented in this
picture, unfortunately. It has a truly delightful color combination
which has proven difficult to capture with the camera. The large
flat-faced flowers have a base color of royal magenta with eyes and
edges of lavender-purple. Many reserves have been placed on this one.
Fertile both ways, but difficult with pods. The scapes repeat and have
branching 3-4 ways with 14 buds.

*PINK PRISTINE BEAUTY
(J. Bomar, '07) TET – BT-03-P – (21”-6.5”-MRe-Ev) – SONG IN MY HEART X
MOTHER OF MANY – Josie did well with bringing us this lovely daylily.
“PRISTINE” refers to the gloriously clear, bright pink color of the
flower. Having seen thousands of pinks over the years I feel that this
is one of the purest and clearest in hue of pinks I have seen in both
tets and dips. PINK PRISTINE BEAUTY is a very flat-faced, roundly
formed flower with sepals of a medium pink and petals of a deeper pink
that have moderate ruffles around their edges. There is a soft pastel
lavender watermark passing into the green throat. Scapes have 4-way
branching with 20 buds and repeat. Fertile both ways.
Value $75

 |
*RED DYNAMITE
(Carpenter, '07) TET – T-02-RED – ((29”-MLaRe-6.5”-Dor) – GUADALAJARA X
SDLG – When the bloom season has been well under way and your attention
has been called this way and that, you are suddenly called to talking
about red. This cultivar has a certain claim all of its own due to its
gorgeous red color. The red is intense in these large open-faced
flowers which have repeating scapes that are 3-4 way branched with 25
or more buds. RED DYNAMITE will give a bold accent to any spot in the
garden with its vibrant color. Fertile both ways.

*RING THE BELLS OF HEAVEN
(Carpenter, '06) Tet T-01-585 – (24” - 5.75”- MRe-DOR) –
parentage-UNENDING MELODY X sdlg. In every respect this is a
wonderfully delightful cultivar. The foliage is very beautiful and
scapes display the lovely flowers beautifully. As can be seen from the
picture the flowers are near bi-color in appearance and this supports
the fact that it is a good parent for bi-colors. RING THE BELLS OF
HEAVEN was my first thought when I first saw the bloom open on this
one. Fertile both ways and a wonderful parent with 5-way branching and
28 buds.

*SEMAC
(Carpenter, '08) TET - T-03-SE/MAC - (24”-MRe-7”-Ev) – SUPREME EMPIRE X
MARK ALLEN CARPENTER - When this cross was made the anticipation was
for a large 7” flower with sculpting in it. The genes combined in such
a way as to give a beautiful very smooth flower that has substance that
is thick and wax-like and extremely heavy. The name SEMAC was a take on
the abbreviation of the two parent’s names. SEMAC is always open and
flat-faced and has very large flowers of a bright golden color. The
flowers often take on an unusual form with sepals extending far beyond
the petals when it first starts blooming. The scapes have 3-way
branching with 19 buds. This is a wonderful flower with bold and
assertive presence in the garden. SEMAC is fertile both ways with pods
more difficult.

*SING THE WONDROUS STORY
(Carpenter, '08) TET – T-20-UMER - (32”-MRe-5”-Dor) - UNENDING MELODY X
EDGED IN RED - What a unique and wonderful harmony of color is
presented in this beautiful flower. The base color of the flower is a
melon-peach that is accented by wine-red eyes and edges and a green
throat. SING THE WONDROUS STORY clearly reflects its parentage above.
Tall scapes have three-way branching with 17 buds and repeat giving the
flower a long bloom season. Fertile both ways.

*SONG OF THE EMPIRE
(Carpenter, '06) TET - T-01-566 – (28”-MRe-5.75”-Sev) – SUPREME EMPIRE
X AMERICA’S MOST WANTED – This cultivar is hands-down the most
outstanding breeder I have had for the deeply fissured sculpting
characteristically now seen in daylilies. SONG OF THE EMPIRE has strong
sturdy erect scapes with 4 to 6 way branching and 45 or more buds per
scape with as many as 70 on one scape. The scapes also repeat. The
substance is very heavy as is characteristic with many of the deeply
sculpted cultivars. Very fertile both ways. SONG OF THE EMPIRE is
consistently and deeply sculpted on every bloom. There are several
future registrations having this as a parent. Highly recommended.

*TEXAS FEATHERED FANCY
(Carpenter, '06) Dip D-01-FIT – (20”-5.25”-MRe-DOR) – LAVENDER BLUE
BABY X Unknown – This was the first seedling to bloom from LAVENDER
BLUE BABY having that special new characteristic which we call
feathering in the throat. It later appeared in some Tet LBB kids. In
any case this cultivar has been in tremendous demand for some time and
there are many reserves on it for that reason. It is unique having the
very thick and hardened “feathers” in the throat area of the petals.
Fertile both ways.

*TIMELESS MAJESTY (Carpenter, '06) Tet. T-02-RD
– (29”-LRe-7”-DOR) - parentage- RUSHING DELIGHT X (LARRY GRACE X TET
ROYAL PINK TWIST) – The name conveys my evaluation of these large,
stately, flat-faced, heavily ruffled flowers. What a show this one
gives us beginning the middle of June! It is in full bloom now in the
middle of July. The color is mauve with a blushing of lavender over it.
Scapes are strong and erect with four way branching and 23 buds.
TIMELESS MAJESTY is fertile both ways and proving itself as a good
parent. This cultivar should extend the bloom season nicely with its
late summer elegance.

*TO GOD BE THE GLORY (Carpenter, '07) Tet. -
01P 65T – (28”-EMRe-7.5”-Ev) – SEMINOLE WIND X TET TED ROBINSON - This
cultivar is a giant of a flower. Blooms start at 8” plus and remain
consistently large to the last flower on each scape. The flowers are of
heavy substance and remarkably round and very flat-faced with only
slight re-curve. TO GOD BE THE GLORY is a form-perfect combination for
flowers on scapes that have three-way branching with 20 buds per scape.
(Single Fans) Fertile both ways.

*TONY HOUSEMAN
(Carpenter, '09) Tet. T-01-524 – (25”-MRe-6.5”-Ev) – AMERICA’S MOST
WANTED X (TET DENA MARIE X SDLG.) – I consider myself very fortunate to
have known the late Tony Houseman, the very special person for whom
this daylily is being named. He was a gentleman, and scholar, and his
philanthropy and generosity have been well known throughout the
Southeastern Region of Texas. I will never forget Tony’s exuberance and
joyful delight as we rode the golf cart looking at the daylilies. He
was especially fond of this particular daylily. TONY HOUSEMAN is
blessed with strong four-way branched scapes that have up to 30 buds.
The flowers are yellow and have an open flat-face form and are large
and extravagantly ruffled with diamond dusting. The diamond-dusted,
ruffled edges have a frosty sparkle to them and brighter highlights of
yellow and sometimes slight touches of green in them. TONY HOUSEMAN has
wonderful substance and some corduroy effect rising from a very green
throat that harmonizes beautifully with the rich golden-yellow color of
the flowers. It is fertile both ways. This is a wonderful parent.

(Carpenter, '07) TET – T-03-XRT – (27”-EMRe-6”-EV) – PALACE GARDEN
BEAUTY X JAY FARQUHAR – The beauty of both parents is seen in this

(Carpenter, '07) TET – T-01-40 – (26”-EMRe-5.5”-Sev) – ESSENCE OF
ROYALTY X TEXAS BLUE EYES - What a delightful presentation and
combination of colors is given with this cultivar. The base color of
the flower is a deep or royal magenta present on both sepals and
petals. To add special accent and detail there is a wide yellow band
edge on the sepals along with the same color yellow appearing on the
sepals back as they go under the petals. WARRIOR VICTORIOUS continues
its impact with wide, bold, lavender-blue watermarks on the petals. The
petals have a whitish-gold edging on them. Branching is 3-way with 15

*WORTH IT ALL
(Carpenter, '04) TET – 01P 1T, 00P 56T – (22”-EMRe-7”-Ev) – EARLY
FRAGRANCE X TET ROYAL PINK TWIST – This cultivar has caused more
comments in the garden this year than almost any other. It has been
much awaited by customers for a long time due to its beauty and
genetics of the TET ROYAL PINK TWIST. From EARLY FRAGRANCE (ALL THE
MAGIC X TET RED STEP AHEAD) it brings genetics from another conversion,
TET RED STEP AHEAD. This may account for the tremendous variation in
color in this cultivar ranging from almost red at times in the early
bloom to the beautiful pink shown in the picture as the season
progresses. There was more effort put forth in bringing this cultivar
to you through the conversion process, but let me assure you that the
beauty and grace presented by WORTH IT ALL made it worth it all. The
substance of this flower is impeccable and it has those beautiful,
round, blunt-ended sepals which give it that added measure of grace and
beauty. We are pleased to release it for everyone’s enjoyment at this
time. The cultivar has three way branching with two laterals and 20
buds and scapes repeat. It has been blooming since the end of May and
is in full bloom now in the middle of July. It is fertile both ways.
