After several months of discussion, this just flew into my mail box!
'The Daylily Group Of Seven' met in Nova Scotia and they have created a Daylily Society in the zone four region of Nova Scotia. This society will encompass all of the Eastern Provinces of Canada: Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island, Newfoundland. The meetings, for now, will be held in Nova Scotia. The first meeting is being held January 21, 2003, at the Kentville Research Station, at 7:00pm. This is an evening for enjoyment and discussion, with the business portion never exceeding one half hour. There has been a super positive response and the meeting should be terrific!
Membership to the Maritimes Daylily Society is $10 Cdn.
The Maritimes Daylily Society is an honorary affiliate member of the Canadian Hemerocallis Society.
The founding members are:
| Wayne Ward | Canning, Nova Scotia |
| Brian Smith | Bedford, Nova Scotia |
| Linda Smith | Bedford, Nova Scotia |
| Coral Kincaid | Bridgewater, Nova Scotia |
| Downey Grover | Avonport, Nova Scotia |
| Don Longton | Petite Riviere, Nova Scotia |
| Marie Stuart | Hantsport, Nova Scotia |
Please note this is a temporary page for the Maritimes Daylily Society, when the club builds their own WebPage or more information is forwarded to myself a link from the Canadian Hemerocallis Society will be available for you to visit their WebPage. Also, at the time of creating this page the members had not yet selected a name for the club, so I made this one up. The name is going to change, as well on January 21st at the first meeting an Executive will be voted in and the real name of the club will be decided and posted here, along with any other pertinent information.
