*PUNCHBOWL (Pierce G) 293-E (Pikes Peak x Tetra Rose F. Kennedy) EEre SEV/DOR emo 28” 7.25” flower, 4 way branching, 25 buds, fragrant.
I must toss dozens of A+ daylilies each season, mainly because I just
cannot name and introduce them all. It’s hard I’ll tell you and
this was almost the case for 293-E PUNCHBOWL. I thought it was
looking a bit too similar to SMILING COBRA, so I took Karen down the
rows to see it blooming. She said you absolutely must introduce
it, and she sees a few daylilies… What you can’t see in the
picture of PUNCHBOWL is the flower size and the terrific throat color
which is a bright chartreuse green! It is this large throat
area that makes the flower pop. PUNCHBOWL also sports a
small picottee and if you look closely you will see the sepals are
green too. Easily Fertile both ways and thick substance
again. It really Glows in the garden – Enjoy.
