TET 965-D [{[( Raspberry Candy x Admiral’s Braid) x (Pirates Patch x Tetra Green Widow)] X (Star Of India x Tetra Green Widow)} X Long Tall Sally]  34”  ERe. fr. emo. ev.  9½” uf crispate.  3-4 way branching. 18-22 buds.  ALTER EGO is a fascinating cultivar.  Despite the good number of diploid ufs, bicolors have been rare in the tetraploids.  ALTER EGO presents a huge lavender and yellow bicolor with a starburst yellow watermark on the petals.  There is some reverse curling on the sepals while the petals crispate.  The effect in the garden is like clusters of huge butterflies alighting.  ALTER EGO is one we hope to use with the converted H. Citrina seedlings to enhance the bicolor effect.  Fertile both ways but a difficult pod parent……………...$100.00
