*AMERICA  THE  BEAUTIFUL (Stamile,P.) TET 2232-B [(Big Sur x By Design) X Songwriter] 23” EMRe. SEv. emo. ext. 7” x 3 7/8” x 2¾”. 4 way branching.   25 buds.  It is no secret that I love big pinks and AMERICA THE BEAUTIFUL sure fills the bill. The flowers at 7” have almost 4” petals. The substance is extremely heavy allowing the blooms to extend into the early evening hours. The flower form is very flat even in cool weather. Flowers demonstrate extreme fluted ruffling and are edged in white. Dominating the center of the flower is a huge citron green watermark. Being semi evergreen I think this flower will do well everywhere daylilies are grown hence the America in the name. Simply lovely. Fertile both ways.
