25-28 buds. BY DESIGN gets its name from the program of incorporating
the full formed pinks with the gold edged pinks to enhance the size, substance
and gold braiding present in the pinks. Elegant in every way, BY
DESIGN has marked gold knobs, flutes and braids which set off the pale
clear pastel pink with its nuances of shell. The color deepens ever
so slightly at the edges giving a slight edge without an eye effect.
The flower center is marked with a deep grass green throat. A personal
favorite, BY DESIGN has been an exciting parent for gold edged pinks and
pinks with borders of rose and gold. A friend who is an orchid connoisseur
and expert said it best, Can you just imagine flowers with gold edges.
