*CORAL EXPLOSION (Stamile, P) TET 9109-A  (Anasazi x Tetra Resonator) 27”  EMRe. fr. emo. Ev.    6” flower. 5 - way branching.  30-35 buds.  Doubles 100% There is not unanimity about the beauty of this flower.  I love it but Grace is not as enamored with it as I am.  I just love the flatness and hot coral rose color that has hints of lavender and orchid.  They are big blooms on well branched scapes.  I have not yet seen any single blooms on CORAL EXPLOSION.  It would make a pretty single with the big yellow watermark that is all but hidden by the petaloids.  For the hybridizer there is interesting genetics here.  Vic Santa Lucia’s RESONATOR has lines from the era of SILOAM DOUBLE ROSE, SILOAM DOUBLE DUMPY, TOUR DE FORCE, etc. and it opens new avenues for exploration.  Fertile both ways.
