*DARLINGTON  COUNTY (Stamile,P.) TET 6442-A (Rose Fever x Shimmering Elegance) 24” ERe. Dor. fr.  ext. EMO.  6” x 3¼” x 2¼”.  3 - 4 way branching (3 way + terminal y or 4 way).  20  - 25 buds. This cross of ROSE FEVER by SHIMMERING ELEGANCE was perhaps one of the best crosses I have ever made.  There were more keepers, percentage wise, than any other cross I can recall.  The two best are DARLINGTON COUNTY and its sib, ROSE VISION, a future introduction.  DARLINGTON COUNTY is one of the clearest rose pinks with a round Nile green throat.  Flowers have very heavy substance from both parents and are stylishly flat and bordered by a deep fluted ruffling edge in gold.  The form is so beautiful on this flower that you think you are looking at a 4 ½” or 5” flower forgetting this is a full 6” bloom.  A magnificent addition to the rose pink color class.  For the hybridizer this is a dormant that does exceptionally well both North and South and is a very easy parent both ways………$100.00
