*MANDARIN SEAS (Stamile,P) TET 1326  [Rose Fireglow X (Wish Fulfillment x Northern Glitter)]  25” EMRe. nofr. emo. Sev. 5” x 3” x 1 7/8”. 6-way branching. 40-45 buds.   When naming a daylily I try to think of names suggestive of the daylily.  But with 40,000 named varieties of daylilies it is difficult to arrive at anything that approximates a flower.  MANDARIN suggests the orange base of this flower while SEAS is suggestive of the lavender wash.  The flower can best be described as a lavender with a large orange watermark and deeply ruffled orange edge.  The throat is a deep moss green that is set off against the orange watermark.  Very distinctive and very popular MANDARIN SEAS also has fabulous branching and bud count.  Easily fertile both ways.
