Since I already had a SWEET HOME ALABAMA I thought this a reasonable request. Remembering the wonderful Southern hospitality shown Grace and me while in Meridian, Jackson and Hattiesburg, I selected this daylily to be named for all the wonderful folks in Mississippi. This is particularly poignant with all the devastation from Hurricane Katrina. MISSISSIPPI  MEMORIES is a huge, flat, heavy gold edged cream. The color has nuances of both pink and chartreuse. The flowers are somewhat triangular in shape and are carried on superbly branched scapes. Really one of our finest near whites and a grand flower. Fertile both ways.
