This beautiful huge cream yellow double with its green throat, like ROSE
CORSAGE, was a clear introduction from its maiden bloom. Tall and well
branched from the beginning, PUCCINI had, until this year, never even thrown
a single bloom. This is not surprising since both parents have been
consistent doubles for me. The surprise from this cross was the excellent
branching and yellow color. PUCCINIS peony type doubling shows fluted
ruffling on both the petals and petaloids. The blooms are always
open flat with a beauty and sophistication rarely seen in a double.
As a breeder, PUCCINI has given me some of the palest cream doubles.
