Club Discounts

Our policy when a Daylily Club places an order with us is that we automatically double the value of the order or more. This doesn’t necessarily mean that we double up on brand new Introductions (unless we have enough) however, we will ship the equivalent of the order or better with Introductions within the previous two years. (The order must be placed with proof that it is in fact a club order.)

The plant acquisition chairperson obviously specifies the plants on a club order up to the value of the purchase, the remaining plants (gifts) are up to us to decide. Although, we do try to fulfill wish lists and if substitutions are specified we try to fulfill the substitution list as gifts on top of the original order.

Usually, when shipping club orders we are at our peak shipping time, we get lazy and dig clumps for clubs (where possible) as we are always in hurry. This allows the clubs to use these plants in Chinese Auction, Draws, Live Auctions, Babysitting programs whatever the members decide they feel will benefit the club coffers and the membership as whole.

Having spoken all over the world we recognize that club budgets are usually very tight, and that often newer clubs don’t have the “high rollers” in their Live Auctions that other clubs do. Therefore, we do whatever possible to help clubs out where we can.

In the spring of 2010 we will be shipping several boxes of plants out to our most loyal clubs that have supported us for through the years, this is something we do every 2-3 years. We have several older Introductions that tend to increase so rapidly that they are taking up far too much space in our nursery. We are, therefore, going to ship 30-50 plants of these to various clubs across the US and Canada with the only stipulation that these plants are somehow used to raise funds for the club and each youth member receives a plant for free in the clubs that receive these plants. What you do with plants is up to the club Executive and members.

Please recognize that we receive between 20 and 30 requests from clubs, regions and other meetings for free plants every year. I hate to say it but we are in the business to stay in business, therefore, we cannot meet all the requests for donations. We therefore, prioritize our donations based on speaking engagements and the clubs that I happen to be President of (and of course our close friends that represent other clubs). We apologize in advance if we are unable to ship free plants to all of the clubs in need, we do our best to accommodate what we can.
