*Tony Thompson

* 'Tony Thompson' - Sev., Fr., EM., 28 in. sc.; 7.25 - 8 in. fl., 4 way branching with 25 buds.  This flower is huge and always ornately decorated with a striking large lavender-purple picotee and gold edge. A very large flower with a small green throat and chevron shaped lavender-purple eyezone. The overall color of the flower is a cream-pink with a melon overcast. Lot’s of fighting over the use of the pollen of this flower occurred over the last few years, as the prodigy are stunning and huge. Like it’s parent ‘Reyna’, ‘Tony Thompson’ stamps it’s size and wide-wide petal width on virtually all of its prodigy regardless of the color. ‘Tony Thompson’ has wide spooned sepals. Named after our great friend from Hazel Green, Alabama who is a larger than life character, we chose this flower because it is not only loud but large. ‘Reyna’ X ‘Mardi Gras Ball’.
