This purple eyed, purple picotee, cream white flower is particularly interesting with its deep purple veins bleeding out from the green throat toward the darker band of purple surrounding the eye. The purple picotee adds to the distraction that the overall pattern of this flower has, drawing your vision away from the cream white background and into the complex eye of the flower. In addition, the slate grayish coloring in this eye often gives the illusion of blue. I plan to use this flower heavily in my blue eyed tetraploid program. |
