* ‘Billy Melo’ (John Peat, ‘04) Semi-evergreen. 22 (55.9 cm) scape; 8.5 in. (21.0 cm) flower. Early-midseason. A lightly ruffled bright burgundy  red with lots of curling, twisting and slight spooning on the sepals. A wire white edge surrounds both the long petals and sepals. The flowers also show a large dark burgundy red eyezone that bleeds out into the petals along the veins and jumps out from the green center. Tetraploid. (‘Pirate’s Ransom’ x ‘Swirling Spider’) X (‘Swirling Spider’ x ‘Spoons for Escargot’).
