In an attempt to increase the sheer size of my spiders I made this cross, and sure enough success was had. This huge flower can be seen from an acre away, by size alone. The burnt orange color with slightly darker veins and a slight gold edging on the petals and sepals will be an important breeder for very large flowered tetraploid spiders. Although not yet a spider, the size of this flower in the garden stops people dead in their tracks, often putting their hands against the flower to marvel over the size themselves. |
