*Evening Mirage

EVENING MIRAGE (Gail Fox x Seminole Wind) Tet. Sev. EM. 6" fl., 33" sc., 17+ buds. Combine the wide overlapping petals, strong ruffles, large size, and bright tangerine orange color with a green throat, and it is hard to ignore this beauty. The flowers open late in the afternoon the evening before, and therefore, is a nocturnal. On extremely hot long days the flowers tend to fade a bit earlier than other flowers in the garden, hence the name. EVENING MIRAGE has retained the large size and color of its parent GAIL FOX, the daylily that got me started in hybridizing, yet has the refinement of its other parent SEMINOLE WIND.
