*GAMMA QUADRANT

* 'Gamma Quadrant' (John Peat, 2004). Semi-evergreen to Dormant. 26 in. (66.0 cm) scape; 5 in (12.7 cm) flower. Early-midseason. 3 branches with 24 buds. A striking golden-yellow flower with pie-crust ruffling, surrounded by a crimped wire gold edge. The stipples or speckles of burgundy-purple cover the entire flower, starting off tightly clustered to form the eyezone and loosening up until clear tiny polka-dots spread across the golden background. The sepals are so heavily splashed with speckles that they appear to be burgundy, giving it the look of a bi-colored flower. A very unique pattern in this daylily, one that has inspired me to continue breeding for large polka dots on my flowers. Tetraploid. 'Doma Knaresborough' x 'Expanding Universe'.
