*TED GARDIAN

* 'Ted Gardian' (John Peat, 2004). Dormant. 16 in. (40.6 cm); 5.5 in. (12.7 cm) flower. Midseason. 4 way branching with 23 buds. Reblooms. A very clear lavender-purple with a tightly crimped and bubbly ruffled gold edges. The bright diamond dusted gold edges are so thick that they add a third dimension to the flower. The flowers often bloom slightly above the foliage making this a great border plant. Named after the father of a good friend of ours, Theresa Gardian, who won the right to name this flower at one of our meetings. This is a full dormant and should do extremely well in the colder climates. Tetraploid. 'Karl Petersen' x 'Light Years Away'.
