*TRANSITIONS (Stamile, P.) TET 331-A (Picotee Prism x Pike’s Peak) EM EV ReFr. CMO. 5”. 2-3 way branching. 12-15 buds.
There have been many round flowers with round
throats and round eyes. I have done many of them and will do more but
we are now into a transitional phase where triangular eyes, picotees
and triangular green throats now present a three pointed or six pointed
star pattern. Working with these is more fun than a person has a right
to. There are so many endless variations to the complexity of the
flower and TRANSITIONS is in the heart of this evolution. A yellow with
a mahogany red triangular eye and picotee and a distinctive green
triangular throat. TRANSITIONS is one of the easiest parents both pod
and pollen. I think I set a pod on every flower with a variety of
pollens. A delightful flower and fun to work with. Fertile both ways
